e-Stars 2009 will take place from 24 to 26 July in Seoul, Korea. The teams are divided into TEAM EAST and TEAM WEST based on their regions. Both teams will consist of three teams respectively, and you can vote for your favourite teams on e-Stars website.

But the voting part will only account for 50%, the teams' achievements in 2008-2009 and the organizing committee's evalution will compose 20% and 30% respectively of the selection process.

fnatic from TEAM West dominated the voting part with 175,462 points, followed by Made in Brazil with 164,715 and Mousesports with 149,657 points separately. Both mTw and SK Gaming followed closely behind with 147,778 and 147,567 points. The only surprise was that the 7th in the list, former Former MYM , current WICKED eSports was left behind by emuLate with quite a large difference.

In the East Candidates list, all the top3 teams are from China. TyLoo , the team which is led by former wNv Teamwork GM team leader, Zheng Wei 'alex' Bian, placed first with 39.675 points alongside UMX Gaming from TaiWan Province with 27,781 and SC.United with 23,693 points. The top2 favourites in the list, wNv Teamwork CN and WeMade FOX only made a 5th and a 6th after receiving 22,989 and 21,397 points, following the team k23 from Kazakhstan which got 22,997 points. None of the Singaporean teams belongs to top6 in the East Candidates list.

The final participants list will be released by e-Stars Seoul 2009 committee on 2 June.
