Imagefnatic took on SK in the finals after recently beating them in the finals at ESWC masters, and they managed to do it again this time around.

fnatic showed that they are indeed this years top team after recently winning the ESWC masters and now adding the KODE5 Global Finals title to their wall of achievements.

SK Gaming started Terrorist on the first map and lost the pistol round and the next 3 rounds. fnatic started off playing very aggressively which payed off, due to this SK took it a little slowler, camping T roof at the start to get some picks and managing to get a few rounds. On the whole, in the first half, SK had a tough time getting into a bombsite, but once they were in they were able to defend it quite nicely, yet, only managing to pull off four rounds. To be noted is an excellent play by Rasmus 'GuX' Ståhl and some nice deagle action by Patrik 'cArn' Sättermon.

Onto the second half which started off extremely exciting. SK managed to win pistol but as earlier today didn't manage to take the second round which was a win for fnatic thanks to Harley 'dsn' Örwall. And what a round it was! Harley 'dsn' Örwall was on 1hp in a 1v2 situation where he managed to kill Marcus 'zet' Sundström on his way to lower bombsite, plant the bomb, and then pick off the last remaining player, which made them win the second round. SK tried to pull it together and get as many rounds as possible but seem to make silly mistakes which worked agaisnt which eventually made them lose the second half 5-6 and an overall loss of 10-16

A dissapointing first half for SK Gaming who lost pistol again. fnatic managed to pull off 7 rounds straight with ease with Rasmus 'GuX' Ståhl showing some fantastic playing yet again. Also to be noted some nice AWPing by Harley 'dsn' Örwall. The fnatic team seemed to be playing beautifully together, each contributing as a team effort to every round.

The second half seemed like a flashback with SK winning pistol but losing the 2nd round yet again. The pistol round ended up being the only they would take, despite a nice effort from Kristoffer 'Tentpole' Nordlund on the sixth round, the game ended with up with 16-5 in favor of fnatic which took the overall win to 2-0.

Final Standings:

1st. fnatic ($25.000)
2nd. SK Gaming ($10.000)
3rd. WICKED eSports ($5.000)

SK Gaming still manages to take second place at KODE5 this year in comparison with third last year.
