Mousesports crash out of KODE5 after wNv bashing

ImageDespite talks of a top three finish from Antonio "cyx" Daniloski, Mousesports have fallen at the first hurdle, losing to Chinese team wNv 2-1, with two matches going into overtime.

Mousesports started as CT on de_inferno and the first half was even stevens with both teams taking it in turns to pick up frags. Second half on inferno saw a much better start for Mousesports, this time winning the pistol despite Gore team-killing one of his allies with a grenade, to take eight straight rounds as terrorist to take the first map 16 - 7 with Antonio 'cyx' Daniloski and Manuel 'tixo' Makohl proving instrumental.

wNv Teamwork CN took the pistol round on the second map dust2, and second round looked theirs as well with only tixo left, but he took the round with three desert eagle headshots to win the 1on3 situation. From then on Mousesports were on cruise control and rarely looked threatened on CT-side.

However, when the switch came the Germans seemed to lose concentration and wNv took six straight rounds. Antonio 'cyx' Daniloski tried to stop the rot in round seven to take one back for Mousesports but wNv the continued to dominate taking another three to put them only two rounds away from victory. Mousesports took back the rounds they needed to force over-time though with 10-5 and 5-10 to force overtime.

Overtime started off well enough for Mousesports taking the first two rounds but then lost the next four, to then take the series to the third game, de_nuke. Mousesports fell behind early on 7-2 but managed to claw their way back to reach 9-6 at half time. The second half saw wNv storm ahead but it was Mousesports' turn to force overtime, but they were spanked in overtime losing a straight 4-0. Mousesports who were seeded 5th are therefore the first major casualty of the tournament so far.
