His preference for the ESWC Masters of Cheonan Final may form false impression, but June 'SK.Lyn' Park stated he already considered Pedro 'LucifroN' Moreno Durán at the peak of WC3 before the event took place.Following his success in the South Korea qualifier prior to the opening day, June 'Lyn' Park hit the ground running at ESWC Masters of Cheonan as he defeated Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li, Pedro 'LucifroN' Moreno Durán and Daniel 'ixi' Spenst to advance from his group first, before knocking out mTw's Orc player Du Seop 'WhO' Chang in the Quarter-finals.
The ESWC Masters reigning champion was close to defend his title after he beat Evil Geniuses' Dmitriy 'Happy' Kostin in the Semi-finals, but a 0-2 defeat to LucifroN in the Final means he could only watch the young Spaniard put hands to his first trophy in a major international competition. He spoke to SK-Gaming.com in the wake of the event, the leaked replays, and his goal in the rest of 2009.
There are many world class players took part in ESWC Masters and you finished second. Are you satisfied with the result?
SK.Lyn: Not bad. But I feel sorry for my team because both our CS team and I only managed to win a second place.
You won almost all the games in ESWC Masters, but lost the Final. What happened?
SK.Lyn: I made a few bad decisions, and my state of mind wasn’t going right after I knew the replays of my Quarter-finals game against WhO were leaked by an anonymous website.
Before Semi-finals, they leaked almost all my replays, but they didn’t release Happy’s replays against Fly100% and Grubby. I don’t care whether LucifroN watched my replays or not, but my mind was affected.
GoStop complained in WCG 2006 when Sky watched his replays, whom received a yellow card for his act thereafter and it caused controversy. Do you think organisers should do their best to protect replays, or release all of them publicly?
SK.Lyn: This problem is past now and I don’t care about it anymore.
In ESWC 2008 Grand Final, ReiGn watched my replays before we played in Semi-finals as well. He always plays ghouls at TM, but in that game he opted to play fiends. That was a real kick in the teeth.
We were in the same team back then so I was fine with it, but I hate leaked replays when tournaments are still running.
You told fomos.kr that you hoped LucifroN could beat Fly100% in the Semi-finals because Fly100% is very skilled in orc mirror, but LucifroN beat both of you. Do you think LucifroN is one of the best players at the moment?
SK.Lyn: LucifroN is already one of the best players in the world before this event. I hope he keeps his ability.
Do you look forward to the next time you play against him?
SK.Lyn: I met him twice in Final so far, including ESWC Masters of Cheonan. I won one at BlizzCon, but I lost this time. I will prepare for the next game against him and I will give my all to win.
Many people think Chinese players and Korean players are the best in the world, but what is your take? What do you think of European players?
You can’t expect to win all the time in this game because of item, creep jack and other elements. Asian players are one of the best but so do European players too.
SoJu retired from the game yesterday. What was your reaction when you heard the news?
SK.Lyn: I knew it before then. He can't find any good team that can help him improve his game so he retired. Good Luck to SoJu.
what is your plan or goal in the rest of 2009?
SK.Lyn: My goal is to reach top four in every tournament I am going to participate this year.
Though there are way fewer events taking place this year, BlizzCon, IEF and WCG will keep running as always. Which event is the most important one for you?
SK.Lyn: WCG is the most important tournament for me. In WCG 2007, I went out in group stage and didn’t qualify for the Grand Final in the following year so I really want to win it this year.
Is there anything you want to say to your fans?
SK.Lyn: I always strive for the best, and I will keep bringing good results to you.

hope you get soon a new mate in sk so you can reach top 4 there as well ;>
All in all, Lyn has always been the most respected guy who always can show his politeness to his rivals. I think that showing more respect to Fly was a small mistake which have been exaggerated by the scene a bit too much.
