Creolophus on ENC: "I told him that I could play"
Olav "Creolophus" Undheim yesterday made a surprise return for the Norwegian ENC match against Serbia, but denies possibilities that this is a comeback.
"Well, the guy who’s team leader of the Norwegian national team goes to the same university as me and I know him personally, so I said I could play if it was needed," said Creolophus to Readmore."Basically I’ve played 3-4 team excello cups just for fun during the latest year, and I didn’t think it would be too much of a difference just to play in the nations cup as well."
"I have played three or four Excello cups in the last year for fun and he told me the difference between that and the ENC is not that great."
However, the Norwegian admitted to being out of touch with the new maps, "The old maps I already know inside and out, so they had no major preparation. In the game against Serbia, however, I had to play Death Trap, a map that I previously had never seen before," said the WCG gold medalist. "Therefore, I played a game against Kristoffer 'TargA' Marthinsen, and then some against the computer to find out how long is needed for the Creep spots and what other map features are important."
Creolophus was also asked of his opinion of how much has changed in the pro scene since his retirement. "Elf mirrors are the same as back in the day, you just see more tier 3 talons. Also the micro with the staff of preservation is no longer as important. ((since you can’t avoid the cooldown by switching anymore)."
"Looking at the orc situation I have to add that they really have polished the grunt\raider\walker strategies; the creeping, micro and timing is really good. It’s also cool to see players like Happy and Lucifron doing great."
Creolophus made it clear however, that this was no comeback, but he is still one step closer to helping Norway qualify for the next ENC season.

Norway have never qualified for the ENC before but Creolophus helped to gain two points with his performances.
