Who is rapha, other than just a nick? SK goes close contact with Rapha, and question him about his personal life.Shane 'rapha' Hendrixson joined SK in 2008 prior to the ESWC Masters of Paris, and has flourised throughout his time to become one of the new kids on the block in the Quake celebrity A-listers.
So, before gaming ever existed in your life, what did you do as a kid?
SK.rapha: I loved playing basketball growing up, I played almost everywhere year either through school or some other league, and just chilled with friends.
SK.rapha: I was a solid player, no Lebron or Kobe but I played decent. I just loved the game and played it because I enjoyed it. I still try to play even now when I have the time to.
As a young kid say 8 or 9 year kids have those dreams of becoming a professional at some sport or, becoming an astronaut or something but, likes and dislikes change, the same went for me.
[And for you? What was your dream to become? Firefighter, police officer?
SK.rapha: As a young kid a basketball player or a race car driver, I love all types of racing. F1 is one of my favorites.
What did your parents say about that?
SK.rapha: My dad always supported me as far as if I have a passion for something, told me to go for it, didn't matter if it was even doing something simple.
If I enjoyed what I was doing then he was cool with that, my mom was almost the same way, with gaming she was sceptical for a long time just because she didn't know anything about it, but she eventually came around.
So, to change subject a little, what except for gaming are you doing right now?
SK.rapha: Right now I'm just working and trying to save up money for college, really not a fan of the whole debt thing, so I'm trying to get together as much as I can to lessen the load of college funds.
SK.rapha: I want to learn mobile electronics installation, installling subs and sound systems, I love that stuff.
And I also want to get something to deal with ministry as a pastor, not sure which I'm going to go for first, but I have some time to figure that out.
So you believe in god?
SK.rapha: Yes
[[Is this something that runs in the family, or is it something you found out yourself?
SK.rapha: Yes and no, depends on the side of the family we're talking about, my family has had all sorts of characters, so it's more of a personal choice. I'm just a Christian I'd say.
How is it to live as a Christian in the world we're living in right now?
SK.rapha: It can be difficult but it's always difficult.
Do you always follow the Christians rules strictly?
So, to change subject, Your first love, who was this, and what happened? Did it end good or bad?
SK.rapha: I really haven't had a "first love" yet, been focused on other things. So it's neutral at the moment.
Earlier you spoke of becoming a pastor and work with mobile electronics, can you picture yourself doing this 20 years from now?
SK.rapha: Yes, but no one knows what tomorrow holds something could come up and change my focus could have a change of heart it'd be nice to stick with something and continue on with it but who knows.
Alright, I wish you all the best of luck in the future, and we'll see you soon again, any last word for the readers?
SK.rapha: Thanks to all those that have supported me, and most of all the elite players, the stiff competition in quake is what makes it that much more amazing.
