With front-runners of both the Human and Orc race Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen and Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li already crashing and burning in the group stage,four more world class players will have to bow out early. ESWC Masters of Cheonan has a single elimination best-of-3 playoff so there is no second chance for any players to recover from defeat.

SK Gaming's June 'Lyn' Park who finished top of his group plays second in Group C Du Seop 'WhO' Chang, which should prove a close contest given their past encounters. Meanwhile, Dmitriy 'Happy' Kostin who initally was supposed to have won all his matches and face Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng in the playoffs, infact lost to Fly100% in the group making him face Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang in the playoffs. Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng now instead must play vs Fly100%, which will be a shame for the Chinaman as Undead mirror is his strongest match-up, whereas Undead versus Orc is his weakest.

Elsewhere the changes in the playoff tree mean Pedro 'LucifroN' Moreno Durán will now have another Orc player on his side of the tree, but will have to defeat Xiang 'TH000' Huang first to have a chance to flex his Orc mirror skills.
