The three big name teams meet in Group C along with Australian Team Immunity , and is both a blessing and a curse for spectators, as it means some good matches early on but it also means that one of the top European teams worldwide will make an early exit.

Elsewhere the new and improved Team EG avoid the top four European teams, instead being paired with WeMadeFox and wNv. Meanwhile, mTW and MouseSports both get an easy ride for the groupstage with no major threats for them this early on the competition, despite Mousesports having The Gathering champions Alchemists along with them in Group B. The three remaining Korean teams will be announced after the qualifiers but they will simply fill in the spaces in group A, B and D.
