WICKED eSports signed the Russian team EYE Sports earlier last month alongside Mykhaylo 'HoT' Novopashyn and Yoan 'ToD' Merlo in a bid to attend WC3L season finals for the first time. But the team finished seventh following their 3-2 defeat of mTw yesterday, two points off SK Gaming, and could only play the online Playdown to avoid relegation.

The former Fnatic, currently place fourth in WC3L at press time, took the community pundits by surprise last term as they finished first in regular season and eventually placed fourth. Team captain Chul Woo 'Shy' Park relished the co-operation with the Leipzig-based organisation to end their two-month long quest for a sponsor, and is eager to hammer second place Evil Geniuses 4-1 to edge a direct qualification for the finals.

He told WICKED eSports, “After we left Fnatic we were searching a new home and finally we decided to work with WICKED. I’m so glad and i feel pure satisfaction. I’m really motivated and i wanna make more achievements in the future.
