DreamHack announces prize money in Stockholm

ImageDreamHack has announced the games to be played at DreamHack Stockholm and the prize money for each. With no suprise, Counter-Strike 1.6 remains the main event with the biggest prize money.



Earlier today, Dreamhack released the list of prize money to be made at their event in Stockholm. Counter-Strike 1.6 remains the most popular event at DreamHack, however, we can see Quake Live move up the ranks with a total of around 500 euros prize money which is a positive step for the Quake community. Here is the full list of the prize money:

Counter-Strike 1.6 - A total of 35 000 SEK in prize money (~3 258 EUR)

1st place: 20 000 SEK (~1 862 EUR)
2nd place: 10 000 SEK (~931 EUR)
3rd place: 5 000 SEK (~466 EUR)

Street Fighter IV - A total of 5 000 SEK in prize money (~466 EUR)

1st place: 3 500 SEK (~326 EUR)
2nd place: 1 000 SEK (~93 EUR)
3rd place: 500 SEK (~47 EUR)

Quake Live - A total of 5 000 SEK in prize money (~466 EUR)

1st place: 3 500 SEK (~326 EUR)
2nd place: 1 000 SEK (~93 EUR)
3rd place: 500 SEK (~47 EUR)

Track Mania Nations Forever - A total of 3 000 SEK in prize money (~279 EUR)

1st place: 1 500 SEK (~140 EUR)
2nd place: 1 000 SEK (~93 EUR)
3rd place: 500 SEK (~47 EUR)

Guitar Hero III - A total of 3 000 SEK in prize money (~279 EUR)

1st place: 1 500 SEK (~140 EUR)
2nd place: 1 000 SEK (~93 EUR)
3rd place: 500 SEK (~47 EUR)
