After six hours of intense duelling, and many walkovers, the tournament finally saw its end, were Spart1e comes out of it in final victory! From a start, it all felt that this tournament would end up in disaster after many dropouts, such as n!smoke_, Krysa, a1r-r41d and many more.
But with the head hold up high, the admins of this tournament didn't give up, and continued the tournament with a couple of standins, and thanks to Hawr1x we could also enjoy the semi-finals and finals in live stream.
The final match was between Calipt and Spart1e where Spart1e ended victorious, and a happy winner of 100 USD in prizemoney.

Spart1e:
Lets hope this sets a new landmark for Quake live tournaments, where more competitions and events adds prizemoney, this will for sure boost the scene and sponsors.

Calipt:
"I think both maps started pretty equally, on tourney6 i lost control at some early point and due to never practicing that map i had absolutely no idea how to cope with it. Dm13 went pretty well, i think in fact it was closer than the screen shows, as most of the frags happened in the end when i needed the comeback. overall spartie was the better and in those kind of tournaments more experienced player and he deserved the win."
Spart1e:
"Sad about alot of playerdrops from the cup. But the admins did a great work, fixed streamings, and were really nice. Also have to mention how smooth the cup really went. Looking forward for the next cup!"

Also, I'm sure most games, such as Counter-Strike didn't start out their first tournaments with a big amount of cash.
Is there anywhere to get the demo? That steam with commentary is really poor quality. Cant really be bothered to look at that :S
