Despite Valve releasing a patch yesterday to fix the issues spawned from their previous patch which attempted to get rid of silent walking, the game continues to have issues with sound. After the embarassment of their initial patch failing and having to release a new patch yesterday, Valve's changes still cause major bugs with sound when players jump between different floor types. With the issue still not properly resolved and Valve announcing any threads complaining about the changes would be banned, will they continue their plight to be rid of silent jump, or will they give up all together?

Just reset the update. If it ain't broken, don't fix it, for crying out loud.
they should fix VAC....
but why.....it brings money...
Updates to Counter-Strike 1.6 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:
Counter-Strike 1.6
Fix the wrong sounds being played on jump when moving to different surfaces
Fixed crash in the spectator UI when hitting tab
*they can write whatever they want... :p I don't think they even tested it properly! :))
Honestly.. they don't earn a fucking penny making a patch that you don't like, they're just trying to fix an age old gameplay flaw, that unfortunately has become a part of the game, and now that everyone is accustomed to it they take it out. Seriously, in a few days there will be no more russian walking, and no more soundbugs, depending on the surface.
Then everyone can get back to playing the game and not worrying about the fucking sound it makes when you jump on a metal ramp.
Steam is the biggest bug!
But CS will survive through all the motherfucking shits!

you can read :
"We have released a beta update for Counter-Strike 1.6.
You can access the beta by going to the Settings dialog in Steam, go to the Account tab and hit the "Change ..." button under the Beta section. Then select the "Counter-Strike 1.6 Beta" from the list.
This beta is addressing some regressions with the recent game patch. Note that you can ONLY test this beta by using a listen server, testing on normal dedicated servers will NOT work and will produce invalid test results. So make sure you ONLY test by connecting to listen servers (i.e servers made by the "New Game" button in the games UI).
The changes for the beta are:
* Fixed all sound related glitches with the Russian walk / silent running fix (including standing still sound, repeat sound, and always default sound)
We are interested in details of situations where you still get inappropriate jump or step noises in the game with this beta. Note that silent/Russian walking was an exploit and has been fix."
