Today it was announced that the Intel Friday Night Game in Nuremberg later this year will not be held due to the school shooting in March.Readmore revealed this today, which again forces the ESL to get another date and location for one of their events. The reason behind it is the school shooting of March in Winnenden where 16 people were killed and games such as Counter-Strike came up in political discussions again.
The IFNG in Nuremberg should have been held on May 29th with Counter-Strike: Source, Warcraft III and Counter-Strike 1.6 as the main games. However the ESL have already found a new location in Hannover, and the event will be held there at the same date. The ESL will most likely release a statement soon.

i don't see them shutting down movie theatres or tv stations for showing violent movies or tv shows??
isn't hannover bigger anyways?
p.s. sorry i don't know too much about european city populations, maybe one day =]
i only know the population of berlin and the city i live in :)
After they visited the event they said it was a positive event but the only thing that sucks is nobody talking about how addicted these games can be.
After such a statement I don't understand how other cities could deny such an event..
killing people is not life way ...
