OneGP: Round 2 in Kyoto & SK Racing leading

ImageSecond round of the OneGP Live for Speed F1 World Championship 2009 takes place on Kyoto National this Sunday evening, with SK Gaming Racing as the overall leader of the championship, after an exciting opening race three weeks ago.

Marcel 'SandMan' Krause was only beaten by Sonicrealms' british man Dave Southword with less than one second between them after an hour of thrilling formula racing. That was the final result of OneGP's first Grand Prix in 2009 and it was quite a surprising one indeed. While the favorites already proved themselves in the Qualifying Session, Southword only placed 13th in a starting grid with some of the best Live for Speed racers in the world.

Marcel Krause took the lead quite early in the high-class race on Aston Historic and his SK Gaming Teammate Sebastian 'ClioRacer' Seybold was following right behind him in third position. Seybold even managed to get into second place with a smart tactical move on his first pit stop.

However, tactics are not only important in games like Counter-Strike or Warcraft. Sonicrealms Racing showed that Sim-Racing is more than just driving in a circle.

Dave 'Storm_Cloud' Southword took home the first victory in 2009 with an astonishing one-stop strategy and great racing in the final laps versus Marcel Krause.

While Marcel 'SandMan' Krause and Sebastian 'ClioRacer' Seybold were on a two stop strategy and they lost some time due to the extra stop, Southword had a smooth race with only one splash and dash pit stop that helped him collect the ten championship points.

Marcel 'SandMan' Krause showed a good solid performance and ends his first OneGP race in second position after a suspenseful close finish. Sebastian 'ClioRacer' Seybold had an incident in the last lap of the race and has to be content with a fourth place finish. In the Team Championship though, SK Gaming took home the most points and the team is looking forward to the second Round as championship leader on Sunday.
