Even tough the Virtual Racing Touring Car Championship is in their mid-season break right now, we do not have to miss any racing action. Additionally, the Electronic Sports League announced a new structure for their ESL Sports Racing section. Further information are planned for the upcoming week, but first words yesterday unfolded that they are going to host 'Live for Speed', 'GTR Evolution / RACE07' and 'rFactor' Racing Championship and Events in 2009.

But first of all, Virtual Racing invites to a very special event in GTR Evolution.

Le Mans 24hours endurance races are always legendary and popular all over the world. Heroes were born back in days and in 1977 it was the Martini Porsche with Ickx, Haywood and Barth that crossed the finish line first and wrote history.

And on Monday, electronic racers can relive this dream: Not in a 24h endurance race but in an Easter-Special on the Le Mans Layout of 1977. To mix old and legendary things up with something modern and trendy ones, the drivers are facing the myth Le Mans in the Audi R8 GT Concept. The event starts on 20:00 CEST with a One-Lap Superpole Qualifying and is followed by two 45-minutes races. Another Easter Egg for the winner: Berlet.de sponsors 50€ prize money for this single race event.
