A total of 22 teams have signed up for the event and were put into four groups. The top two of each group advanced to the Double Elimination being put in the Upperbracket while the third placed teams were put into Round 1 of the Lowerbracket giving them another chance. Though all the European top teams such as mTw.dk, Crack Clan, x6tence but also k23 and DTS have managed to stay in their favorite role.

The first big surprise already happened on Sunday morning with DTS beating mTw in a tight match with 16-14 sending them to the Lowerbracket. Still mTw have then basically rolled all of their opponents also being ledpc, x6tence or Crack Clan. In the Grand Final they again met DTS which have also beaten x6tence and Crack Clan before.

Coming from the Lowerbracket, mTw needed to win two maps while DTS only needed a single map to qualify for the KODE5 Global Finals. The first map got close again after a big lead of mTw but they have then taken down DTS with 16-13 on de_dust2. The second map was de_nuke which was a clean win for mTw with 16-9 and therefor qualifying for the KODE5 Global Finals.

Other teams still have the chance to attend KODE5 Sweden or Denmark in the upcoming two weeks.
