Grubby, Happy and Ciara now homeless

ImageManuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen, Dmitriy "Happy" Kostin and René "Ciara" Krag are now on the roam for a new home after Frontspawn will cease all operations before they even begun any. Nicolas "Pops" Estrup talks to SK Gaming about the events.

The news reached the public yesterday that all is not as it should be in the Frontspawn camp after Ronnie "TwAizZ" Jelsbak stated in an interview with Readmore.eu that "Frontspawn was created only to run MYM, so we will be closing the company again."

The interview was published yesterday on April 1st which did put its legitimacy in doubt but Grubby today confirmed the news in his blog. Before they went under ESNation announced that MYM would become a franchise which was to be run by a new company Frontspawn A/S to be lead by Ronnie "TwAizZ" Jelsbak, just over a month ago.

"That means that after one and a half months of service, we are released from contract with Frontspawn"
We knew not everything was right. ESNation going down certainly did not help anything," said Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen in his blog, "that means that after one and a half months of service, we are released from contract with Frontspawn." Despite this news Grubby and co will be staying in each others company, "for now we're sticking together as we explore new avenues."

"We'll try our best and find a suitable organisation and new sponsors. Even if we don't find one, we'll still go on playing. We've got a WC3L season to finish."

Frontspawn.Pops: "Grubby was on a contract up until a day or two ago"

However, Frontspawn's Nicolas "Pops" Estrup told SK Gaming that although the CS team are free to do go as they please, the Warcraft3 team was still under contract until just a few days ago.

Image"Grubby was on a contract up until a day or two ago," said Pops, "but when we came to our solution we decided to release him from the contract so that he could receive offers from other teams. And hopefully find a "home" faster."

If none of the teams are under contract then why are the Frontspawn duo still helping the squads to find new homes? "Well WC3 was the only team that we still have a contract with, since the contracts for all the other teams have ran out, and was up for negotiation," said Pops.

"Ronnie [Twaizz] of course have a tight bond with his CS-guys so it was natural that he would go along with them and look for a new place to be," said Pops, "WC3 and Dota we just want to help as much as we can, considering that they are great guys, and we want to get them into a new team as fast as possible, so they can start playing properly again."

So once they find a new team your ties with them end and you go your seperate ways? "Yes that was the plan. We are of course sad that everything had to work out this way, but problems that was worst case scenarios happened, like the Bankruptcy of ESNation" said Pops, "so we never really got a chance to start probably."

So would it be fair to say you ceased all operations before you even started any? "In some ways yes, after the whole bankruptcy we sat down and took a look at the whole situation, on how it effected us and the possible outcomes. With that in mind, this was the best solution."
