The9, the operator behind World of Warcraft, is currently under financial difficulties due to the set-back of the expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, in China. To bite back at China and its regulations, The9 are working on a new bullet-proof MMO.As reported recently, the expansion to World of Warcraft, Wrath of the Lich king, is having trouble passing the approval for sales in China. Due to this, The9, the operator behind the game for China is having some financial difficulties and may need to close its doors down soon.
The9 is also responsible for obtaining the licence in China for games such as FIFA Online 2, Hellgate: London, Ragnarok Online, Huxley and Guild Wars.
However, the outlook for the company may look a little more positive for the future as they have started to work on a new MMO by the name of "MUX". This MMO will hopefully bring the company out of trouble as it is planned to be bullet-proof to Chinese censorship and hopefully will be a successful, top of the range asian MMO, also to be released for the rest of the world.
