Mousesports were obviously the favorite coming into the tournament but after Alternates great performance at CeBIT it promised to be a good event. Mousesports didn't have too much trouble up until the Grand Final by beating hardware4u with 16-2, TBH with 16-7 and Alternate in the Winnerbracket Final with 16-12.

Alternate on the other side had trouble in their second game already but managed to win against n!faculty with a close 16-14 but were then knocked down to the Lowerbracket by mousesports. The Consolation Final was played this morning with Alternate beating TBH which were not causing too many problems and the Grand Final was again the big clash between mousesports and Alternate.

Alternate needed to win two maps coming from the Lowerbracket while mousesports needed only one. Still Alternate more or less dominated mousesports on the first map after struggling a bit in the first few rounds, then took home the first map de_inferno with 16-9 waiting for the second map being de_train to start.

The kniferound was won by Alternate which choose the Counter-Terrorist side to start with which is actually very good. Still mousesports seemed to get in a rush winning a total of 7 rounds on the Terrorist side as well as winning both pistols. Alternate started their comeback in the third round by getting this important round and were more or less controlling the money afterwards and in the end also beat mousesports with 16-11.

Alternate will therefor qualify for the KODE5 Global Final in Moscow, Russia in early May while mousesports might take the chance at other qualifiers such as Sweden or Denmark.
