The list of the addictive video games may include titles like World of Warcraft and Counter-Strike.
Mechthild Ross-Luttmann, the German Minister for Social Affairs in Lower Saxony says she will request a general age restriction for "addictive" video games. Reports say video games like World of Warcraft, which is currently available for kids, may only be sold to adult. Ross-Luttmann is asking for an investigation regarding this case.
The German Minister believes video games are the "potential danger" that exists in children's bedroom. Andreas Rosenfelder, the author of Digital Paradise however sees little connection between the addictive video games and school shootings. Several news reports have also proved that video games like Counter-Strike does not teach teen violence.

but when something bad happens that is even REMOTELY related to gaming? BAN GAMES!!
i am so looking forward to when this generation of tunnelvision anti-technology retards dies out.
Ofc it is the parents fault, but easier to give some restroctions to something than to tell the parants or the people who will vouch you at the next election, that you failed at you child.
it sucks...
There are so many problems in the world right now but the only thing they care about is video games..
How about the financial crisis ? Oh, I forgot that video games are the cause of that...
I think, that if You are ok with Your mind, You can play those games, cause You know where is the border between real life and virtual life.
So in my opinion, it won't give any results.
better gun control = no accidents like tht
kkkk ~~
well, I think that trying to ban games won't give anything;D
There are so many things you can get hooked on if you're an "addictive personality". How about TV, sex, training, food?
Anything that feels fun or nice will have its addicts. In the end, like so many have already suggested, it's up to parents to PARENT (that's a verb that many so called parents didn't even know exists, I'm afraid).
Anyone older than 20 might remember the video violence debate of the late eighties and early nineties (the "ninja-" and "karate"-movies). Same shit, different day.
Parents and politicians, take your responsibility and leave us sane people alone!
