Lyn: NGL presents enormous practice value

ImageWith 23 top-notch contestants in the running NGL ONE Solo League Season 1, June 'Lyn' Park rates the quality training through participating ahead of the prize money any day of a week.

Human and towers

June 'Lyn' Park got off to a flying start in NGL ONE with successive defeats of Night elf duo Deok Man 'SocceR' Youn and Jin Woo 'WinNers' Kim in the opening match day, and sat at the summit before losing it to Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li at the hands of Xuwen 'InFi' Wang, who came out victorious five times in their last six encounters.

But rather than looking at the pale record that remains in the past, Lyn is determined to focus on the Chinese player’s comprehensive tower approach. “I don’t know [why I have such a record against him] nor do I care. I just care about his strategy, his towers.” he told SK

The SK Gaming player may not have something particular up his sleeve to resolve such a strategy thus far, but to contain the Archmage’s level tops the list in his book. “I don’t like towers, but I would build towers too if I was a Human player because it is hard to win without towers as a Human player.” “If I knew [how to beat towers], how is it I could lose to Human players? The most important thing is not to let your opponent level up his ArchMage to 3.”

Valuable practice

The NGL ONE Solo League, launched this January and has taken centre stage as it is the first league that gathers virtually all star players, both established players like Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen, Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang and Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li and emerging lads like Hjalmar 'DowaQ' Högberg and Pedro 'LucifroN' Moreno Durán.

Whilst the others may be setting the grand prize as their priority, Lyn relishes the scarce opportunity to practice with these fantastic players instead. “All the players taking part in NGL ONE Solo League are nice players. They provide me enormous practice through the matches. To me, the prize money here is not so important as the practice I get.”
