BallerPoker World Cup cancelled?

ImageReadmore.eu have reported that there is a good chance the 32-player tournament which had some big name invites might not take place.

The BallerPoker World Cup was to have an overall prize purse of $6,000 and qualifiers for the tournament had begun in December, and big names such as Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li, Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen and Du Seop 'WhO' Chang received direct invites.

According to Readmore.eu TGL tournament director Daniel "NooDle" Schlenk expressed doubts about the start of the BallerPoker World Cup towards a team manager: "I doubt we will get the thing started. The contact of Therapy, who was in charge of working with the sponsor, showed no interest in contacting me lately. Without having a clear view on these things, I will not continue."

Up until now the reason for the late start was allegedly due to the layout of the new TGL-Homepage - who were to help organise the tournament - being incomplete. After all the effort of organising three qualifiers to determine the 12 players to join the 20 direct invites, the future of the tournament looks bleak.
