Hao 'suhO' Su of World Elite bounced back from a three-game losing streak to beat Hyeong Ju 'Check' Lee of nGize in the overall final to win the championship of G-League Season III.Defeated Hyeong Ju 'Check' Lee 2-1 earlier today in the upper bracket final, Hao 'suhO' Su advanced to overall final with a 1-0 lead in hand, looking bright to claim his first title in three years. But Check was quick to rediscover his form after knocking out Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li in the consolation final later on.
He thrashed his counterpart 2-0 in the first match in the overall final to level the scoreboard, and further won the first game at Secret Valley in the second match, only one more victory away from winning the whole competition.
Suffering such a rude awakening in the final following a sloppy display in contrast to his previous performance, suhO began to put more effort on details in the following games as he continued his Archers and Druid of the Talons strategy that eventually brought him the title.
“all in all I am really lucky today. I wasn’t optimistic after losing three games to Check in the final.” he said closing ceremony. “In the last two games, I refined my micro control during some critical points and luckily won both of them.”
Final standing
1. Hao 'suhO' Su - $2,924
2. Hyeong Ju 'Check' Lee - $1,462
3. Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li - $731
4. Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng - $146
5-8. Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu
5-8. Chul Woo 'Shy' Park
5-8. Zhengkun 'Guangmo' Guo
5-8. Yanchao 'Lyc' Lu
