Call of Duty 4 reaches 15 million online players

Infinity Ward's first-person shooter has amassed 15 million online players on XBOXLive and PSN.Infinity Ward's Rob Bowling mentioned the shocking statistic as the two year old game picked up three British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards (BAFTAs) last week.
According to Bowling Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has 11 million unique players on Xbox Live and 4 million on Playstation Network (PSN). Microsoft states that Microsoft Xbox Live has 17 million users overall which means if these statistics are correct over two-thirds of them have played Infinity Ward's first-person shooter.
