The G-League Season III Finals is drawing closer and closer as Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li and co. are fighting it out with Korean duo Hyeong Ju 'Check' Lee and Chul Woo 'Shy' Park to keep the title in China.
The $5,200 offline finals is set to take place in Shanghai, China from 10 March through 15 March after two-month’s online regular season.
Players from WC3L title holders World Elite dominated the regular season as all of them finished on top of their respective groups with a clean sheet.
Undead phenomenon Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng defeated Orc trio Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu, Hyo Sub 'FoCuS' Eom and Xingyi 'Revenant' Chen in Group A, an achievement that rare Undead players can pull off, to book a Quarter-finals meeting with Group B second place Chul Woo 'Shy' Park.
Extreme Masters Season III Continental Finals Asia winner Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li, currently on a seven-game winning streak, earned a chance to retrieve his lost pride against PGL Season IV winner Fly100% following defeats of Shenghui 'Future' Li, Zhen 'HopeStar' Xu and Shy in Group B.
Chinese Night elf veteran Hao 'suhO' Su who sit out his team’s triumph at WC3L Finals last season proved himself with a unbeaten run in Group D, especially two emphatic 3-0 defeats of nGize player Hyeong Ju 'Check' Lee and former Mousesports player Chenglong 'Sai' Zhou.
He will be facing a tough test against Group C second place Yanchao 'Lyc' Lu in the first round, a player that once disposed of WeMade FOX’s latest addition Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang 3-0 in PPStream’s China versus Korea Series. Check will in the meantime play against Group C winner Zhengkun 'Guangmo' Guo of eXpertise.
