The Warcraft III maker is ready to launch the seventh season of Battle.net tournament as top performers will not only win abundant prize money, but also beta keys to its highly-demanded game Starcraft II.As of 27 March, Blizzard will be introducing the top 100 players in their respective standard regional ladder to the invitational ladder, replacing the 100 players that lied in the wrong end of the invitational ladder last term, and reset the open ladder that is due on 2 March.
The invitational ladder, featuring world’s most established and successful players as Blizzard claimed, will span three weeks from 6 April through 24 April.
Top six performers by the end of that period will compete with the top two regional finalists last term at each regional final in a bid for a place in the Global Final later this year. In addition to that, the top 20 players will receive a key to beta test Starcraft II.
SK Gaming player June 'Lyn' Park is the reigning champion in this competition, defeating the budding Spanish Orc player Pedro 'LucifroN' Moreno Durán twice in the overall final at BlizzCon 2008 last October.
