WICKED eSports returns with HoT and ToD

ImageWICKED eSports yet again enters the Warcraft III market as they acquired former EYE Sports squad and former Gravitas Gaming duo Yoan 'ToD' Merlo and Mykhaylo 'HoT' Novopashyn.

After losing the whole WC3 squad that qualified for the WC3L Season XV to nGize in early January, the German gaming organisation today secured the service of both Mykhaylo 'HoT' Novopashyn and Yoan 'ToD' Merlo, whom had been struggling to finalise a deal with any team since Gravitas Gaming closed its WC3 squad.

“Some teams were interested in me in the beginning after the end of Gravitas came, but then it didn't work out.” ToD told readmore.eu, “It crossed my mind (to team up with Grubby), but it wasn't really up to me, but to teams out there to do the necessary negotiations to make it work. I joked around with him on MSN about how we should revive 4K as well.”

WICKED eSports in the meantime succeeded in buying themselves into the running season of both NGL and WC3L as they purchased the former squad of EYE Sports, TosserTrade, but ToD believes the Russian duo Nikita 'Nicker' Pomadov and Yuri 'Sting' Sheremetov, essence of the team, worth much more than that: “Sting is an excellent player and so is Nicker, I see their presence in the team as a good thing.”

However, HoT and ToD will not be able to feature in their new team's upcoming matches in WC3L, according to Rule IX.f. "Clans may only acquire players from other WC3L clans in the week before the playdays 1, 5 and 9. Players acquired outside of one of the transfer periods may only play after the next transfer period has passed." it reads.
