The Extreme Masters rules, some of which were released to teams yesterday, make very interesting reading. The Extreme Masters global finals are just days away now, and an intriguing but short list of rules was circulated to teams yesterday. First on the chopping block, to many people's delight, are RNG stuns.
Although these abilities are still in the game, speccing for them is banned on the ESL realm. This means that talents such as mages' "Impact", priests' "Blackout", and hunters' "T.N.T." are not allowed in players' talent specs.
Another new rule that will be greeted with huge cheers by almost everyone is that the new maps will also be unavailable. Whether ESL administrators can now choose the map like in other games is currently unknown. There is a possibility that games will have to be restarted if one of these maps comes up. Teams are still awaiting clarification on that matter.
The third rule that head admin, Shawn, let slip was that the deathknight spell "raise ally" is also added to the ban list. Again, it is unlikely that many players will bemoan that change.
The entire rule set will be available "in the next couple of days." But it seems as though there will be more interesting changes to come: "Until then please note that we will introduce a few new rules," said Shawn.

If Blizzard doenst balance, the ESL does it. Nice to see...
In D2 it used to be the same. Leagues made balancing rules themselves and it worked quite good. For me, this is a step in the right direction to make WoW at least a bit more competitive.
Im not a big fan of WoW, but maybe it becomes more interesting now, if the ESL manages to balance well...
Ok...WoW still needs something like HLTV/WTV or at least some observer mode which makes it easier to follow the game...
PVP Shall not be RNG Based its skill that mathers, as the new arena haha : Ring of Valor is clearly rng, and thats wrong
lolololzzzz
but i think it is wrong not to play it at all, cause it has such a huge player base and will attract many fans that will become interested in esports and maybe push esports forward...also rts and cs/shooters
But rng is also spell resists. When your entire strategy is about bursting and mezzing, you can play perfectly, if your mez spell gets a resist, you lose. Hope they will continue removing all rng, but I doubt it.
i lost games when a shatter combo double resisted and the nuke target survived by that :>
I just want to throw that out there. I don't play WoW anymore anyway, but I just wanted to say this because I know people are going to rag on Blizzard.
but blizz also knows that all these addicts continue playing anyway, just with more flaming :>
also, very nice initiative to add these three rules.
Nerf rules :D
& Good work EM staff .
oh well, we still have dispersion! ...
Anyway, these changes should be on live realms, not only on tournaments.
good luck !

Blizzards changes show, that they are totally clueless what to do
sk gaming should do the only one thing thats counts:
you should withdraw, and force blizzard to get Balance in this bullshitgame
this is NOT!! esport
