Fnatic calls time on its WC3 squad

ImageAxe falls on yet another WC3 team as Fnatic parts company with its Korean squad.

Clan Go joined the ranks of fnatic back in March of 2008, midway through the WC3L Season XIII, and welcomed the return of Hyo Sub 'FoCuS' Eom and Chul Woo 'Shy' Park.

After maintaining their WC3L status with an emphatic 4-0 defeat of mTw in the playdowns in that season, they took a huge leap forward in the following season and clinched the first place in the regular season.

However, the fledgling team paid the price for their inexperience as they had to finish their Finals campaign early in the opening day as fourth place with consecutive defeats to Meet Your Makers and SK Gaming.

The announcement was made public merely a day after they resumed their pursuit of the WC3L title yesterday with a 3-2 defeat of Mousesports. Fnatic cited that the players did not come to an agreement with the management, but did not go into more in detail.

While Min Hyuk 'MinHyuk' Jo, Dae Duck 'Kei' Yoon and probably Sung Hyun 'Space' Park will not share the same prospect in the future, FoCuS and Shy will continue to carry Clan Go in the WC3L Season XV.

“They will continue to compete as a team and from what I know Kei will quit to pursue his university and MinHyuk will go to the army and I have my doubts about Space continuing on with them but,” said the General Manager Elroy "Noname" Pinto, “Shy and FoCuS will continue as Clan Go and I will continue to help them till they hopefully find a new organization.”
