Electronic Arts has announced a new mode for their famous FIFA game. The mode will include achievements and a whole new team management system.

With over 141 million games played in total with an average of 1.25 million games played daily, FIFA 09 is the most popular EA Sports game played online for PS3 and Xbox since its launch in September 2008.

The new FIFA 09 mode, FIFA Ultimate Team, will enable players to continue enjoying the online experience with added achievements and tournaments.

By playing, you will collect coins which will enable you to hire new players, expand contracts, create tactics and formations in order to create your ultimate dream team. You can then use this dream team to compete in cups online or offline.

The game will be available for download (1.3gig) for free on the 19th of March. If you enjoy the game, you will be able to then buy the full version online which will unlock all 360 achievements worth 250 points. For the PS3 players, it will download 47 trophies for FIFA itself and 10 trophies for Ultimate Team.
