With the finals in Hanover less than three weeks away, ESL has released the groups for the European finals.Famous names abound in the European qualifier for Extreme Masters. With seven spots up for grabs, over half of the teams in attendance will be rewarded with a finals berth. However, there is pride at stake here and all 12 teams will be looking for first place.
Group A features two of Nihilum/Mousesports three teams, Plasma and Mouz WoW. Alongside them are Millenium of Spain, Innerfire of Bulgaria, aAa of France, and SKY of Austria.
SK's European team was drawn in arguably the harder of the two groups (B). They are accompanied by x6tence from Spain, Tera-Gaming of Germany, lockdown of Germany, Roccat of Sweden and Mousesports Cake.
ESL TV commentators, James Harding and Matt Rider, who announced the groups live, picked SK as favourites for the whole tournament. However, SK's own Another was more pragmatic: "think its pretty even really, gonna be hard vs x6tence, and rmp mirrors can be really random, but hope that we will advance."
The European qualifier for Extreme Masters kicks off on March 3.
