After a problematic qualifying period in Europe, ESL has decided to invite the top twelve teams to the European finals in Hanover next month. With the release of WoTLK, ESL's qualifying round for Europe hit a brick wall. With players levelling their characters, the arena tournament became inactive. This meant that the main qualifying round could not be completed.
Now, the league has decided to split the prize money evenly between all the teams in the qualifier and invite the top 12 teams. Every team from the main round (21 in total) will receive $480 but only the top ranked teams have been invited to the European final. The winners of the Euro final progress to the world finals, taking place in the same week.
Those 12 lucky teams are as follows:
Due to the nature of the issues ESL ran into, the invitations were based on activity in the qualifying ladder. On top of that were the performances at previous qualifiers such as Leipzig and Montreal.
The European finals start on the 3rd of March.

cba entering the never ending discussion anyway
Just because you need luck doesn't mean the game requires no skill, wouldn't it be pretty fucked up if every hit was a guaranteed hit? why not just make every hit a guaranteed hit AND crit, then we will have no luck?
u wont see in any other E-sport game where LUCK is playing such important part of the match.
Dude even when both teams are equal and playing marvelous and one mage gets a CS ressist the team will loose not becouse of their skill.(Dude nomatter wha u just cant argue with this fact)
P.S well maybe im blind or something but I havent yet seen an AWP ressist bullet match
GIVE 'EM HELL! :D
It's not all about luck lol, you don't win by luck. Okey, sometimes you do! But it is most about skill lol
now in WoW everyone got critical strike AND evade so it just makes it that much more random, i mean if 2 people are lucky and get crit at the same target it's pretty much dead and in wow there is no room for epic 1v5 comebacks like in cs, hell i saw some wow on blizzcon when wc3 stream ended and the people even gave up when they lost a guy..
I'd like to know the setup and players of the teams attending, so we at least know which setups they'll be using and who switches chars.
good thing sk can run many setups now.
See u there ;).
Maybe see ya there
could be tough with all the new comps out there thats more viable but hopefully its a good tourny and some stupid rng doesnt win it 8)
