Blizzard Chief Operating Officer, Paul Sams announced some details of the much anticipated Starcraft II at Activision's conference call.Alongside Diablo III, Starcraft II is one of the most anticpated games for the year ahead. Although details as to when Diablo III will be released are looking bleak for the coming year, Starcraft II may not be that far away from being released.
Beta testing for the game may start shortly as Sams has announced the game to come out "in the months ahead". No details as to when exactly have been released, as we all know Blizzard follows the rule of "a game is done when it's done."
Paul Sams declares that "the beta will be played on a basic version of our new Battle.net architecture, which will give us the opportunity to test the game and the service in a live environment. Over time, we'll be adding features to deliver a second-generation Battle.net experience."
This game is highly anticipated as fans claim that Starcraft II may well be the new Warcraft III of esports. To do the outmost to please the community, Sams also declares that they are doing the best they can to bring a better customer service to match the quality of Blizzard's games.

Valve, on the other hand, has been great when it comes to let anyone quickly understand what's going on in a fight. TF2 is just excellent in this department.
Here's hoping SC2 will be much more spectator friendly. Doubt it though.
But really, I don't think SC is that hard to follow, as a spectator.
Because it's really easy to understand what a defiler does. Yeah.
"My unit has ketchup all over it. Hmmm..."
Coming soon = When Duke Nukem Forever goes gold
Jokes aside... I'm waiting!!! :D
Speculation to get stocks higher and so that people dont loose interest... good marketing from Blizzard :-)

That may not be the case after the merger with a company who cranks out games as fast as possible basically, especially in the current financial climate.
