Getting so many top tier teams show up in Hannover to compete at a stand alone DotA event is surely a notable accomplishment within the game's community.

The DotA community is still trying to find its place amongst other esport titles, now with the loss of the World Cyber Games' support events like this are liable to become increasingly more rare.

The tournament starts on Friday with a four team pre-tournament through which four teams will battle for the eighth and final opening in the tournament. The tournament officially begins on Saturday, for which the matches have already been laid out. The grand finals will be on Sunday, following the finals is a prize ceremony to close out the weekend. All of that accounts for three days of action packed DotA competition.

"I'm feeling pretty confident before this tournament, going out vs. MYM in the first round will just get us into the shape we need," said Jonathan 'Loda' Berg, player for SK Gaming.

"In dota anything can happen and as long as we don't get outpicked I feel that this will be a really close game. The tournament is hosted by Dota-league.com And I think it's a good thing to go there and show that we support the dota community!"
