With 3.1 on the horizon, Blizzard has promised big changes to class balance. Today they released the first snippets of information.Blizzard has made public a long list of class changes that are lined up for patch 3.1. Over half the classes have had their basic changes laid out, including druids, warriors and the long-suffering warlocks.
One of the biggest challenges is for Blizzard to make classes like the rogue more viable in PvE, without damaging their fragile PvP balance. With that in mind, there are many changes lined up for the combat tree, such as a reduced cooldown on Adrenaline Rush and haste on Mace Specilisation. Mages are the other big burst damage class, but their changes are yet to be released.
On the healing side of things, every class is playing catch-up with paladins right now. Priests' Penance spell is now able to target its caster, while the classes group pvp utility got a big buff via a new talent which has been labeled as "Power Word: Shield for your whole group."
Restoration shamans haven't had any specific changes announced yet, but some of their most important PvP totems have been combined. Mana and Healing Stream totems will be fused into one, as will Poison and Disease Cleansing.
Only four classes have yet to be detailed, but Blizzard stresses in their posts that this is far from being a completed list. In particular, the warlock changes state, somewhat cryptically that "additional new talents have been added."
You can find the first group of changes (priest, rogue, shaman) here and the second group (warlock, druid, warrior) here

I played a warrior for 3 years, Warriors are the lovechild of Blizzard :P
I now play a lock, and yeh, they're lost :P
I think this is more interesting, healing QQ inc.
Poor poor warriors. One spell and warriors cant gain rage on anything. xD
Now u have 20 rage and press Spell Reflect macro and reflect a spell.
After the change u will have 20 rage and press Spell Reflect macro - u will change to def stance - nothing else will happen - congrats u just got shat on.
No warrior tanking buffs - and seeing how druid and DK tanks will get/got buffed now warrior tanks will only exist thanks to tradition (and yes druids will get buffed cause with the insane amounts of armor they have a small nerf will only mean like 1% less mitigation or so).
Warrior AOE tanking is shit and needs heavy buffs.
Warrior Health Pool sucks and that alone makes them useless on some fights such as Sartharion with 2/3 adds.
Shiled block value needs to be buffed heavily because right now it pays off more to be a DK with massive parry (which negates the whole attack) rather then beeing a silly warrior with a shield block and reduce incomng damage by 1500.
Also warrior armor value needs improvements cause having less armor then a DK (when u are using shield and he is using a 2-hander) just doen't feel fair to me.
Ha feels so nice to get all the supressed anger and frustrations out of me.
even a DK has got larger health pool + more CD's to keep him alive through the breaths
And also i forgot to whine about this:
"You now gain rage when damage done to you is absorbed, such as through a Power Word: Shield. "
When i first looked at it i thaught finaly u get rage from hitting a priest with shield then i read again more carefuly and died a little inside.
also my dear friend drusalik
i checkd ur profile and saw that very nice lvl 70 Warrior u got there.
Thanks for giving me a thumb down but just fyi:
I've done PVE as a warrior u obviously haven't and the lvl 80 hunter u have is almost like a guatantee that u have IQ of less then 60 the same as 90% of hunter population
i mean seriously even bot's play hunters better then most hunter players.
Grats on ur incredible BM spec
u must be doing a TON of damage with that
Stupid noob i can't belive u are telling me what is good and what is not
u even don't know what is good for a hunter
the only way to really fix arenas is to make it so u can only do 30% dmg with one move in arena
for instance if someone had a 100 hp and someone atked them the maximum dmg they could do with 1 ability is 30 hp
but autoatk wouldnt be changed
this way u would need to organise ur atks
