It's been a while since images of a slighty more vibrant, but still dark and gloomy Diablo universe hit the front pages, but people are still upset and Blizzard don't take too kindly to it.Debate over the new artistic design of Diablio III has gotten so heated that a petition was started that has now reached almost 60,000 signatures.
Blizzard, however, doesn't seem too bothered by the outpouring of disapproval from the fans, in fact, they're having fun with it.
At BlizzCon 2008 we saw members of Blizzard sporting some rather colourful shirts with pretty unicorns, designed to poke fun at the exaggerations of the roaring fan base who Blizzard think are perhaps taking the situation a little too seriously.
A few days ago, a poster on the Blizzard forums made the observation that if you put a sailor hat on one of the Diablo III characters, it might look like the Stay Puft marshmallow man from the Ghobusters movies, so Blizzard did.
Later, the same poster introduced a new Diablo character, something I can only assume is a unicorn that shoots rainbows from its ass and forces you to love it, how creative. Is it just me, or does Blizzard look for any opportunity to start playing around with unicorns?

I mean come on, there was a petition demanding the original voice actors of Jim Raynor and Kerrigan for SC2, and that one reached quite a few signatures too, so come on...
Do you seriously think that blizzard are doing anything but what they think will sell (which means what we, or to be precise: the majority of us, will like..)?andreas.kallberg@fresenius-kabi.com
