Starcraft community website scforall.com is reporting the location for the 3rd ESWC Masters series event has been selected.Cheonan, South Korea is the supposed next stop on the ESWC's tour around the globe, over 200 gamers from 10 countries are expected to descend upon Cheonan City between the 2nd and 5th of May this year.
As was the case with the previous two events, a select amount of locals will be admitted via a series of qualifier events, while non-natives will have to make the invite list.
Surprisingly, Quake has been omitted from the game list despite being a prominent part of the previous events. Instead, Warcraft III will be making a reappearance, as will Counter-Strike, while Starcraft will be making its first ever ESWC debut.
Given that it's in Korea it's hardly surprising Starcraft will be at the event, but there's also news of two as of yet undetermined Korean developed titles being used in competition. There's TK Online, produced by Mobicle in Korea which was featured in a show match at WEM with Lyn and Moon or Combat Arms, a Korean developed FPS game with nods to Counter-Strike and Call of Duty.
Over the past few years Korea has developed a lot of games that do very well within Korea, yet are never shipped overseas, so there's really no telling what two games it could be.
Aside from the gaming competitions there will also be an IT exhibition, international digital conferences and other assorted events.
This is yet to be confirmed by the ESWC.
