With the Extreme Masters finals just a month away, the final qualifying matches mean an action-packed week on ESL TV.The ESL Extreme Masters Global Finals are just a month away, but there the European slots for Counter-Strike are still undecided. With the European finals taking place at the same venue in March, the slots for that event are much coveted.
This week sees the last of those tournament places up for grabs, all live on ESL TV. Starting the week off tonight are Millenium and Virtus Pro. With both teams having lost their last game, this is a battle for pride as much as qualification. Based on current form, the Russians should have the upper hand but expect a close game with such an important prize for the winner.
Another French side takes to the stage on Wednesday as former WCG champions, Emulate, take on Finland's Gameplay. Both teams won their last match of the regular season and come into this game in good form. They kick off at 20:00 CET and with so little to separate them, this should be a great game.
Fnatic and Soltec finish off a red hot week on Thursday as they go head-to-head for the third spot at the European finals. This is another pair of teams in good shape but with Fnatic's experience in pressure games, they start as slight favourites. Be sure to tune in at 20:00.
The fourth and final relegation game is an all-German affair next week. The inconsistent Attax team go up against hoorai in arguably the most exciting game of the round. These two giants of the German scene will duke it out on Feburary 10.
