SK.WoW welcomes Asian and American divisions

ImageSK-Gaming starts a new trend today by becoming the first western organisation to pick up an Asian WoW team. Not only that, but we will now be home to three different PvP teams. The third squad sees a familiar name returning to the SK fold under the banner of SK-US.

After recently renewing the contracts of the EU team for another year, SK management felt it was time to expand the WoW division.

As a member of the old SK-US team, on top of being a world class player, Vance 'Serennia' Phuoc was a natural choice for the new team. Alongside him will be Extreme Masters Philadelphia winner, Ryan 'Realz' Masterson. “Realz is an all-star when playing any of three classes (priest, rogue, hunter),” said Serennia of his new team-mate.

Filling in the third and final spot will be former Pandemic and eMazing Gaming star, David 'Sck' Quick. Serennia’s praise for the team’s healer was short and to the point: “I personally feel that Sck is the best arena paladin in the game.”

The former best warrior in the world (now playing DK) had a lot to say about re-uniting with SK-Gaming:

“Although we've had the privilege of playing for SK Gaming in 2008, we never had as strong of a team overall as we do now with this one. All of us are very excited with the potential that our roster will have in terms of running one very strong lineup, as well as the ability for us all to multi-class at a very high level if ever needed.”

He went on to say that the team is “very dedicated and accept nothing less than perfection,” adding that “we feel very confident that we can truly make a name for the SK-US squad and bring home tournament wins in 2009.”

Former SK-US team-mate Neil ‘Neilyo’ Mosunic will not be part of this year’s team, but SK-Gaming wishes him all the best in future. Clearly a talented player, we are positive that he will do big things wherever he decides to go next.

As if picking up some of the most talented players in WoW wasn’t enough, SK’s third team in 2009 will be none other than Kwang Rock 'Kwana' Park, Eun 'Jaywalker' Chan and Hyuk Joon 'Hyoga' Jang of Council of Mages.

In a blog published by Kwana he says “it is a great honor to be part of SK Gaming's WoW team.” He goes on to discuss his hopes and expectations for the coming year:

“As an SK Gaming team member, I will show great plays and results in future tournaments to reach the fans' expectation of the SK Gaming WoW team. Please do what you can to support us, we'll be forever greatful.

We won't let you down.”

In a hotly contested competition, the unheralded team beat of some of the world’s greatest WoW players on their way to first place, including the former SK-US team in the final.

Fighters to Writers

As well as bolstering SK’s trophy cabinet, the US team and Xom will also be lending their hand to the website’s content. Guides, blogs and features will be available on a regular from Serennia, Realz and Sck, exclusive to sk-gaming.com

Ever wanted to know just what the best WoW players in the world go through in the run up to an event? Just how hard does Sck practice for tournaments? What really gets under Serennia’s skin? All this and more will be published every Thursday
