ImageDay two the ESL Extreme Masters III Continental Finals Asia is well under way in Chengdu, China where the World Elite duo of Xiaofeng "Sky" Li and Zhuo "TeD" Zeng have just advanced from their groups.

Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng and Xuwen 'InFi' Wang were the first to butt heads in the relegation stage. TeD finished third in group A while infi finished second in group B.

The two met first on Echo Isles where infi opted for a Paladin first, fast expansion strategy. TeD, as he does, produced a mass of fiends and pressured infi's expansion, thereby stopping him from harassing with the Paladin. TeD's very aggressive play made sure infi couldn't get any traction what so ever, forcing him to stand by his expansion and defend until he no longer could.

Game two on Ancient Isles came to an abrupt end only a few minutes in when infi quit the match after a rather weak expansion attempt that ended in him losing around five or more footmen.

From there it was on to Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li versus June 'Lyn' Park, first on Echo Isles. Things started off very well for Sky, he was able to construct an expansion relatively unopposed, then perform some effective harassment. Lyn was able to surround the Mountain King and fight his way out of it, scoring a second hero kill a few minutes later and using the opportunity to mount a siege push on Sky's base. It looked good for Lyn for a while, but Sky was able to hold on long enough to start producing gryphons to the extent that Lyn just didn't have the batriders to counter.

The second match went to Lyn after a curious pair of late tier two tower pushes from Sky failed to gain any steam.

The third game went far more smoothly for Sky, this time an early tier one tower push. Sky was able to level up his Archmage very quickly with a tome of experience drop from his goblin laboratory creep. Lyn was away creeping when Sky came calling and lost all of his burrows as a result of failing to return in time. To recover from a tower push like that was a very tall order and unfortunately for the Korean orc, he wasn't able to.

Sky will now go on to face group B winner Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang while TeD will go on to face group A winner Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen.
