The second group stage of the Extreme Masters Chengdu stop has come to a close and it should come as no surprise that Jang "Moon" Jae has finished top of his group.
Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang, as he so often does, has set himself apart from his fellow competitors by being the only attendee to advance from the group stage without dropping a single map. While there was certainly a lot of questionable play amongst group B'ers, the orcs especially, Moon was, as always, the stalwart warcraft maestro of his group.
Moon had a firm grasp of control when competing against Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu, first on Twisted Meadows where a serious food advantage saw Fly's strategy eventually degenerate into hopeless base raiding. Map two on Turtle Rock again fell quite heavily in Moon's favour with Fly making some very questionable choices with his units, specifically with his heroes.
The questionable choices continued during Fly's match versus June 'Lyn' Park, where Lyn himself made some very odd decisions with his hero, including one moment where he seemingly broke his wind walk in the middle of a surefire surround willingly, despite having just saved his Blademaster in a most spectacular fashion.
Despite playing rather solid on Twisted Meadows, Secret Valley was not Fly's map. Again the Chinese orc player played it fast and loose with his heroes and this time, without doubt, it cost him the match.
The third and final match on Turtle Rock was where the two orc competitors played it cool with their heroes, well, cool-er. Fly opened up the match with a very risky creep which failed to pay off, instead Lyn took the creep, the item and Fly's Blademaster. Fly was able to out creep Lyn shortly after and with a little luck from the tome fairy, was actually able to overtake Lyn's Blademaster level. The match went back and forward for a while before culminating in a high stakes battle from which Lyn would walk away, quite convincingly, the victor.
Throughout the day, the Extreme Masters competitors have treated the community to some very interesting matches and they're sure to do so again tomorrow, so be sure to continue following the coverage tomorrow during the relegation matches and the playoffs.
Lyn will face Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li and Xuwen 'InFi' Wang will be taking on Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng during tomorrows relegation matches.

still the result speaks for itself. Moon on top.
I really have the impression that Lyn's great shape is over or his enemies know him to well...late 2k8, PGL and EM wasn't as good as he did early-mid 2k8...
He and Grubby are the most fun to watch.
