South Korean Night elf player Sung Sik "ReMinD" Kim vows to come back stronger than ever after leaving SK Gaming on good terms together with his mentor Seong Deok "SoJu" Lee yesterday.Sensational comeback
SK Gaming, came from the lower bracket and with the scores tied withWorld Elite 2-2 in the first match in the overall final of the WC3L Season XIV Final, all eyes were on ReMinD to take on PGL Season IV runner-up Xiaofeng “Sky” Li in a bid to force a second match.
Playing the third and decisive game on Twisted Meadows, ReMinD had been competing with much less food count since the middle stage of the game, but succeeded in clawing back after his high level heroes dancing on the wire with extremely low HP and sealed a win for SK Gaming. It was more than a tremendous feeling for the 22-year-old, who told Replays.Net: “I just screamed out like ‘YEAH’ because I couldn't believe that I made a comeback after having such a bad start until the middle of the game, but realised straight away that it was not the end of the final, and that there was one more match to play. I wished it was the end of the final of course.”
Vulnerable dual Human tactic
ReMinD and SoJu have established themselves as one of the best pairs, if not the best in 2v2 match over years, but abruptly finished the Finals with two defeats to the World Elite Human duo Xuwen “infi” Wang and Sky who opted to tower rush in all five games. While the tactic itself caused a stir in the community all of its own, it is not totally invincible for the 2v2 master.
“The first reason that we lost is that we were not prepared at all against this tower rush tactic from dual Human and could never get practice against it in ladder or custom games because no one uses this combination in the world except infi and Sky. Yeah their tower rush tactic is pretty unbeatable against orc and ne.” he admitted, “but if we play something different than usual like picking up first hero as a Tauren chieftain and two barracks or something I do not think that tactic is invincible in 2v2. At least you won't get tower rushed if you play with human plus any race.”
Moon
Despite being a legendary player in WC3 like Jae Ho “Moon” Jang, he has lost to his fellow Korean in various occasions and ReMinD pointed out that the characteristics of Night elf mirror restricted Moon’s ability. “The reason is that Night elf mirror is unpredictable and he ca not show his trademark style of massing expansions in NE mirror and I think I am stronger in mirror, controlling the same units and same heroes.”
"Great performance"
After enjoying a fruitful year in 2007, taking gold at Battle.net Season IV Finals, e-Stars 2007 and a silver at BlizzCon 2007, ReMinD failed to build on his previous success in 2008. He won merely one championship at ZOTAC WarCraft III Cup Week 66 but he is determined to stay in the scene and regain his old pride. “I will remain in this scene and work so hard in 2009 and I want to show you great performances of mine in the near future.”

About European players... All events take place in China. Why would you recruit a European player then? Korean live "nearby" and are playing like "maniacs". Don't you have any better way of spending money than paying for European player's flight ticket? Maybe I'm missing something very important like SEC or whatever but I think I understand SK's way of thinking to some degree.
"On the contrary, you are not as good at mirror game as ReMinD. Do you two share thoughts?
Though I was his mentor and go out with him often, I seldom practise 1on1 with him apart from 2on2. I often dicuss tactics for mirror game with Check, Shy and WinNers."
