Manager of World Elite Le “King” Pei considered WC3L Finals success a collective victory for the world champions after narrowly defeating SK Gaming 3-2 in the second final showdown in Chengdu, China.Front-runners
World Elite relished a successful season in the fourteenth season of WC3L with five sound Chinese players in their squad. The China-based team, bore just two close defeats to mTw and Meet Your Makers in the process, finished second in the regular season, before taking a leap at the offline finals on home soil, becoming world champions with three 3-2 defeats of Meet Your Makers and SK Gaming.
Sky & infi gamble
“Our first choice was TeD and Like, but they didn’t open the game for us in the first two matches, and hence we decided to give Sky and infi a shot. They actually didn’t prepare 2on2 games for this finals,” said King, who experimented this pair at WC3L finals last term as well as last year’s Road of the King tournament, where they also triumphed over SK Gaming to raise the trophy.
’Collective victory’
“suhO is not at his peak at the moment,” King told Tatazu.com, a rapid growing Chinese website which has already become the face of Mousesports(Chinese page), World Elite and Colorful. “our goal is not to drop points against Undead players from our counterparts, while his performance against Undead is not that convincing. He has been helping his team-mates with training though. It is a collective victory I would say.”
New season, new competition format, new start
WC3L will be closing a chapter in their history with old competition format, made up of four solo matches and a 2on2 match, while opening a new page in the following season with a format called “davis cup”, in a bid to keep the heavyweights participating the soon fifteen-season-old team league in the declining market. With King and HotLiPs at the helm, World Elite are now looking to repeat their success. “WC3L will change the format next term which will be a completely new start for us. We will try to adapt to it as soon as possible and defend our WC3L title.”

Congrats WE for your collective victory!
They laughed at humans and their towers and Sky owned them.Congrats again (:
but no one ever laughed about towers, people always cried about them :x
in other words, we will end contracts with half of our players.
they are the best. period.
