Giants win Inferno Online League Season 2
Giants have won the second Inferno Online League which was played from January 10th to 11th 2009 with a total of 32 teams attending. They defeated almost all of their opponents with ease up until the Big Final against Blank on Sunday. By winning they are now qualified for the Final Four which will gather the four winners of the four season so far consisting of SK Gaming and now Giants.

Giants have won the second Inferno Online League which was played from January 10th to 11th 2009 with a total of 32 teams attending. They defeated almost all of their opponents with ease up until the Big Final against Blank on Sunday. By winning they are now qualified for the Final Four which will gather the four winners of the four season so far consisting of SK Gaming and now Giants.Giants and Blank met in the Grand Final of the event in a thrilling three mapper which didn't start good for the Giants, as usual. They lost the first map with a clear 5-16 on de_nuke but from the Saturday tournament, it looks like they always struggle in their first match.
Two very close maps followed then with de_inferno and de_train being 16-14 in favor of Giants. This makes them win the 30.000 SEK and the spot for the Final Four together with SK Gaming.
The 32 teams were competing on both Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th January 2009 in two separate tournaments. Each tournament had 16 teams being split up into four groups followed by a Single Elimination Bracket to determine the tournament winner.
Both winners then met in the Grand Final of the Inferno Online Season 2 in a Best-of-Three match and the winner qualifiers for the Final Four event.
