Team nGize announced today their Korean night elf player Hyeong Ju "Check" Lee has accepted an invitation to participate in the upcoming NGL ONE season.Hyeong Ju 'Check' Lee is now the fourth Korean competitor and the second night elf player to receive an invite, alongside MYM's Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang.
Check is now the sixth participant to have been invited, leaving two slots up for grabs. Yoan 'ToD' Merlo, Du Seop 'WhO' Chang, Mykhaylo 'HoT' Novopashyn, Dmitriy 'Happy' Kostin, Hyo Sub 'FoCuS' Eom, Sung Hyun 'Space' Park, Dae Hui 'FoV' Cho and a score of other notables are still up in the air, who the final two invitees will be is anyone's guess.
Europe and China are, at the moment, underrepresented as far as invitations go.
European fans were hopeful to see Pedro 'LucifroN' Moreno Durán amongst the names, though given the NGL's trend of inviting players from the same team simultaneously, it doesn't look as though LucfiroN will be receiving an invite. Regardless, LucifroN's abilities are more than sufficient to carry him through a qualifier, while his soaring popularity gives him a high probability of doing well in the polls.
Over the next week or two, two more players will be invited to participate in the NGL ONE season, afterwards a qualifier will be held through which 12 players will qualify and finally four players will be admitted through a community poll.
With a very limited number of invitation slots available the odds of seeing a high profile, high stakes series of qualifier matches grows increasingly more probable.
Invitees thus far:
June 'Lyn' Park
Seo Woo 'ReiGn' Kang
Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li
Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen
Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang
Hyeong Ju 'Check' Lee
