Giants started out in Group A with a close 16-13 to DayGamers but they did not make any mistakes again during the groupstage defeating their other opponents with 16-3 and 16-8. Also in the Single Elimination they dominated all of their opponents and beat strike with 16-10 on de_train even after struggling in the first half.

Shortly after they played duttdutt on de_inferno which again looked pretty easy for them as they advanced to the Grand Final with 16-4 over duttdutt. Now you would actually expect a more promising Grand Final but also the new team of games4u did not seem to be a threat to Giants as they lost de_dust2 with a devastating 0-16 even starting out on the terrorist side.

But they did not lose their motivation and played a great second map being de_nuke where they managed to get a 8-7 after the first half but the Giants were still too strong and won with 16-12. Giants are now waiting for their opponent in the Big Final which will be determined on Sunday.

The second day also starts at 9.00 CET on Sunday, 11th January 2009 with probably some more exciting matches just because of the Inferno Online 2003 team attending. Check out the coverage for more information.
