A short while ago June 'Lyn' Park and Seo Woo 'ReiGn' Kang of SK Gaming were revealed as the first of eight players to receive invitations to compete in the new NGL ONE season, while news of Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li's participation was released on Monday.

Today, team MeetYourMakers has announced the crown jewels of their Warcraft squad Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen and Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang have also received invitations to compete, bringing the total now to five.

Three more invitations are still up in the air, while an additional 12 participants will be admitted into the league via a qualification event. Finally, four competitors will be chosen by the community through a poll on the NGL ONE website, amounting to 24 players in all.

Though the overall number of participants was lowered this season, the prize money has been increased from 16,000 USD last season to 17,500 USD. Now that players will participate as solo competitors as opposed to teams of four or more, the prize money can be expected to stretch a lot further as well. In addition to a prize increase, the NGL now provides participants with a 500 USD travel bonus to help players pay for travel costs, should they qualify for the finals.

So far, the new NGL ONE event is shaping up to be one of high anticipation and excitement. Starting dates for the qualifiers, the community poll and the regular season have yet to be announced.
