PGL: Grubby and suhO eliminated

ImageManuel “Grubby” Schenkhuizen and Hao "suhO" Su ended their PGL Season IV campaign early after losing two matches in Group C, while Dmitriy "Happy" Kostin and Mykhaylo "HoT" Novopashyn will proceed in the following revival phase.

The Meet Your Makers player has not been performing up to his par in these two days, for the player himself to say the least, who swooped both World Cyber Games 2008 and Extreme Masters Seoul titles in the past two months, not winning a single game for his team in yesterday’s crucial team knockout phase as well as losing both matches today to HoT and Happy.

While gaining upper hand in early stage of a game against his fellow Europeans in multiple occasions, he kept losing momentum as the game progressed. One could blame the condition in the stadium as no heating is apparently working, or the map pool is stacking against Orc players without Gnoll Wood, Lost Temple and Secret Valley, but he has to adjust his form in no time as WC3L Season XIV Finals and Extreme Masters Season III Asia Continental Finals are just around the corner.

Following a brilliant 2-0 defeat of Grubby, the Russian jewel of Undead came back from behind to defeat the Chinese veteran suhO in the consolation final, who earlier defeated Happy with the same score. HoT and Happy now join Lyc and WhO from the upper group Group B in next Monday’s revival phase.

Lyn of SK Gaming will be gunning for a place in the knockout phase tomorrow at 06:00 CET, starting with a Group A meeting with Chinese Undead player HopeStar, while holder TH000 will afterwards face off the upcoming Colorful player Wulin. The four contestants in Group D, Check, FoV, infi and Like will meanwhile face the same situation as players from Group C as two of them will have to follow Grubby and suhO away from the competition.
