Weiliang “Fly100%” Lu and Xiaofeng “Sky” Li cruised through Group B to the knockout phase after clinching two wins from group opponents Lyc and WhO.Brilliant Fly100%
Fly100% of Mousesports, almost defeating Group A alone with three successive wins in the opening day, held off Sky’s tower rush with brilliant hero control and edged past in a breathtaking 3-game match. He went on defeating team-mate Lyc 2-1 and advanced to the knockout phase.
Sky holds on
However his winning spree had been stopped, the World Elite player started opening a new one when he faced off the mTw star player WhO in the lower bracket. Opting for Gryphon tactic on the large map Melting valley, he took the lead after his dragon hawks caught pretty much all of WhO’s troll batriders with little cost. Though his Korean counterpart later on cancelled his lead on Snow Drop, he finally broke WhO resistance on Human-unfriendly map Tidewater Glades. He then landed another place in the knockout phase as his Gryphon tactic left Lyc bewildered in the following 2-0 win.
Whereas the two losers in the upper-group Group B today will continue their pursue for a place in the knockout phase in the revival phase, the lower-group Group C with Grubby, Happy, HoT and suhO will see two of them being knocked out of the competition.
