ImageAs last year, Fragbite has prepared a very interesting gallery featuring the major happenings of 2008 with a little commentary.

Almost a mixture of comic books and esports, Fragbite's feature takes us through the last 12 months with very well-edited pictures and a little commentary. It covers the major player transfers in Counter-Strike in 2008, including the Abdisamad 'SpawN' Mohamed - Christopher 'GeT_RiGhT' Alesund - Abdisamad 'SpawN' Mohamed - Marcus 'zet' Sundström exchange in SK, the shutdowns of the CPL and the CGS and all major championships in CS.

If you want to take the trip down the memory lane, then the gallery is right up your alley. Find it right here.

The gallery closes on a pessimistic note, mentioning that the global financial crisis may prevent 2009 from being an esports year. The events in the pictures do not necessarily suggest that, as next year should bring a very interesting rivalry for supremacy both in Sweden and in world CS.

SK and fnatic have Giants to worry about at home and they will all want to knock mTw down from their pedestal. The Danes will now have a year to prove how much of a number one they really are. Staying at the top is not the easiest thing in sports. Teams like Mousesports and MYM will want to teach them a thing or two about that.

Will 2009 really not be a good year for esports?
